TRANSCRIPT - Using Standard Video Magnifiers to Build Custom Solutions Р9/5/24 >>Kimberly Cline: Well welcome. Thank you so much for having me really pleased to be here, and have had opportunity to come out to your location before and always love to do that when I'm in Texas. So hopefully, I'll get to come out again sometimes too soon. Today, I wanted to focus on using standard video magnifiers to build custom solutions. We have some puzzle pieces on the screen where we've got hands on the puzzle pieces trying to fit everything together. And I think a lot of you guys are doing that, and you do it quite well. But you know, we get some kids that I would say are too cool for school. And they don't want to use anything but what everybody else is using. Maybe that's just an ipad. And we get some kids that want everything they just wanna do whatever it's gonna take to reach the goals that they wanna reach. And so. You know, it's it's tough, because we need to try to find something that fits all those puzzle pieces and make it work because it does no good for them to have the technology if they're not going to use it. And so we think that that's really important. And we focus. Our main focus is school schools is our number one audience for all the products that we make. So I am Kimberly Klein. I'm with Lbi America. I'm. Or Lvi markets. A subsidiary of Lbi. Our mothership is in Sweden. And that's where all of our products have been designed. That's where they're developed. That's where they're actually hand built. I got to go over there and see. We're in a brand new facility now, which is. Allowing us to have all of our team more centralized where we can actually build products. Faster and better, and just not have some downtime that we were having before. And also we have more of a green facility. So we wanna make sure that everything is environmentally green and that we can recycle and just do all the wonderful things that we need to do, plus. We're really concerned with employees and staff. So they have a gym right on premise. And they have a lot of things just to make everything for everyone that are there, because we have very dedicated team. So if you ever get a chance to go, they love visitors. So just let me know if you have an interest, or if you're gonna be over in Europe because they would roll out the red carpet definitely for you to come, or we would say the orange carpet, because that is, our company colors. So in the middle again there's a picture with the puzzle pieces, and then the background is turquoise, and the lettering on this is bright white. We have some learning objectives that I wanna try to make sure that we cover today. So there's a bullseye at the top with an actual arrow right through the center, because we wanna make sure that we hit those learning objectives. I wanna define 4 visual needs of the target audience. I always think it's really important when I'm working whether it's a kiddo or anyone is, I always say, come up with, give me your 4 hardest things that you're struggling, doing. Where do you? You know we start reading the board. Is that your eyes after 2 h of class, is it? You have to go from room to room, and you've got this great device. But, boy, you're not gonna carry it with you. What? What are these 4 visual needs that you have that maybe right now aren't being accomplished with what you're working with. Discuss how each product in the presentation we're gonna show today. At least cover 3 of those needs. You know, we'd love to hit that target 100 all the time. But maybe it's only gonna do 3 of the of the needs, and maybe they need a separate device for that 4th one. We try to hit it all in one with one product. Or type of situation out doesn't always happen. And then coming up with a recommending a system, using at least 2 or more video magnifiers that meet the needs of the target audience. Sometimes we're able to use off the shelf products, which is really nice when we're able to have an ipad, or if they already have a surface pro tablet or even their phone. Sometimes a phone might be a good solution as well. So we try to like, take everything into consideration with where they're at where they're going, and again, if they're moving from room to room. The task is to create a robust at installation. I'm gonna focus today on our magnifiers, but I always tell everybody when I'm presenting. You know, I need to have something to present with. But of course there are other companies out there. And if you're using a product that's working for that student. Then stick with that product. I'll be trying to put things into categories of types of products. But with ours, of course, I will be referring to our product name. But again, if you're using that style of product out there. And that's working. Then great stick with that particular type of product. Also, we, I will be talking about our viewing software because we do have a very robust software with our products. We're not a software company. So we're not, you know, zoom, text or fusion, or any of those products. However, we do have our own engineers, and we do write our own software because our job is to make our cameras do phenomenal things. It's not good enough just to have good cameras, cause I. So we have great cameras. Our cameras are at least tenx optical zoom. So that's 1 thing that we will talk a little bit about. And they have fast refresh rates. But no matter how good the camera is, if we don't have built in software that's adaptive for someone that's low vision to do things that people might want to do that have low vision. Then it's just a camera. Then you might as well just get a really good camera off the Internet, that type of thing. And sometimes that's all you need. And if that's the solution that's perfect. But I will be talking about the viewing software that we have that that work in conjunction. With our cameras. And our family of products. The building blocks that we're gonna focus on today is we have a product called the air products. They're a family of products. And it's an ever growing family. We released another product this year in that family. And I'll talk about that. We also have a tab solution. So we we have actually 4. Tab solutions and really their ipad solutions. But we can't say the word ipad in our product name. So we call it the I tab, because we do have an a tab that is a surface pro tablet. So this is the I tab, because it's the ipad version. And we will be talking about the 4 versions which one of them is the Itab. One of is the Wi-fi cam, and then we also have a magnolink wi-fi, and then the I tab has 2 separate types. We have one that works with our S camera, which we'll talk a little bit more about as well. And then we'll be referring to the Mls. The pro and the zip. Because all of those can be actually going with the air products, and it creates a family of products. Our belief is that if you already have invested in some of our products, we're not gonna say, throw that out and start over. We want to be able to build on what you have and allow you to be able to add products with existing products. And that's what you'll continue to see with us as we continue to build more products. One of the plans or one of the possible solutions would be the air technology. This is probably a technology that you're not. There is some out. There are some competitors, but not a lot. This is kind of more of a newer style technology. And how we came up with this technology is over in Europe. They do invest. If someone has a visual impairment. That student is going to be allocated, a certain amount of funds to be able to enhance their education. And so the government is spending a lot of money on assisting those students. And that's wonderful. But they came into the schools, and they were like, wait a minute. Where's all the technology? I mean, we've spent all this money, and we're fine with that. But we don't. We don't see this technology. So that's when they were finding out. The kids were a little too cool for school. And they said, well, we have it at home. We use it at home, due to our homework. We do this, we do that. Isn't it interesting that kids in Sweden are no different than kids in America? So they said. This isn't working. So they came to us. They came to several other companies, and they said, You need to do something that's going to make these kids have this at school. So we created the product called the air technology. And when we 1st released it was just for the ceiling. So it's a ceiling mounted camera. We have a duo and a nuno. The duo has a direct camera facing downward. And a camera that will rove the room 360 degrees for distance. And then we have an Uno, and the Una would be going downward and have the ability to do 3, 60. So either one camera or 2. And we're gonna show pictures of those in just a second. Here. And then we now have the air. Go orderable product. We have the ergo, and then we also have a air distance that connects to a desk. The beauty of all of this is it all. Works together whether you're using PC. Mac, Chrome or Ios. So the operating system comes into play here. So if if kiddos are an ipad school. But now they wanna use these air technologies. They're not having to say, Well, you know, I have to use this special device. To connect. No, they just connect with their ipad. And if they're connecting to any of this air technology, they just have an ipad on their desk just like any other kiddo. So this would be helping a child that was too cool for school. And they needed to be able to access material with not carrying anything else around with them, besides their ipad or their chromebook, or their PC. Or their Mac. So that's important, because then they're just taking that from room to room. Now. If you're not using the go product and you're using the Uno, you are using something that is in the ceiling. So is that portable. No, that is not portable. That would be port setup. You know it for a mainstream classroom, maybe a stem classroom, or something like that. The beauty of these products is more than one student can utilize them. At one time. So the nice thing about that is there is an investment, of course. And it's a little bit larger investment because of the newer technology that it is. But now you can have multiple kids accessing it at one time. Usually, if you've got 5 or 6 kids using it. Usually the teacher is the only one controlling it, because you don't want Johnny to want the camera to the left and Suzy to the right. You've got these cameras just going back and forth. That's not going to be. Effective. But once the camera is slotted, whether they want it on the board or they want it. The teacher wants it on a presentation. The student has their own software, whether, again, it's our PC viewer, or if it's using our Magn link viewer, which is the ipad, they then can control the coloring. That they have so one person wanted a certain color, one another person wanted another color, or if it's focused on the board, or a Powerpoint or something, and one of the students wants to do Ocr. With that. That's not a problem, because they all do have their individual software. And one might be connected with a PC. And another one might be connected with an ipad, and another one with a chromebook. So they don't even have to have the same operating system. So now we have a picture up. The top left hand corner is a picture of the duo, so it kind of looks like it is a ceiling tile. It is an exact ceiling tile, and that would pop up in the ceiling. You would take a ceiling tile out that existed, and then all you need is power. So you would have to be able to plug into power, and then it actually has its own Wi-fi system built into it. So we're not. Like relying on the school's Wi-fi. So it's a strong connection to that Wi-fi. And then, if you did want to have permission for the students to be able to go out to the web and that type of thing. Then we would you would use what we call our our system that allows you to repeat or to be able to go and go out. And that's part of the Uno and the air go system. It's a repeat. It's a wireless repeating feature that you can turn on. But that would just depend on the teacher in the classroom setting. So these would be the ceiling ones would be nothing on the desk at all. And then but they're gonna be limited to the rooms that you put them in. The bottom 2 pictures. The one on the left is a picture of the air distance, and that one can clamp to a desk or can hook on a wall, and that's going to be doing just distance. And then the bottom right is the mlair go. That is our newest product. We just released it. At Csun this year. So it's only been on the market for about 6 months. And it has a handle on the top. It allows you to carry it from class to class. And it has again a 30 optical zoom camera. Now, with all of these cameras, you do have the ability because they're motorized. You can control it with an Xbox controller. If a student wanted to do that, you can control it with the software and then on an ipad. You just touch the screen wherever you move your finger, the camera actually is moving and following your finger. So, that's pretty. You know, the kids like that. It's it's pretty cool. It's easy to use. And you also can set up a preset locations. So if you said I'm in a classroom. I wanted to go to the board now. I wanted to go to the desk. Now I wanted to go to the clock. Now I wanted to go to the door. You're now gonna hit 1, 2, 3, 4, and it's gonna automatically move there, so there's no having to navigate zoom in. Zoom out. You can even have a different colors for different locations. So if you know the board, you want to see that black on white. But when you're looking over at a presentation, you wanna see everybody in one. In full color. You have that ability as well. So those are air technology products. If you were just using them on their own. But you can use them in conjunction with our other products. So if you said I want the air go, cause I'm gonna take it from room to room. But that's just doing distance. But I also have a Magna Si wanna be able to have both of them work together. Great. No problem. You can do that. So that's products that you can marry or have them be in the same family group together. Then we also have ipad products. As I mentioned. So why? And what would this solve. Well, again, this would solve if someone's using an ipad and that's just what the school uses, and they're only they wanna only use an ipad. That's the only type of solution they wanna use. This would solve that ipad solutions, of course, are very portable the great thing about ipad solutions is whether you have any assistive technology with it or not. They have great cameras. Great cameras on them. So you know, in the past. Lot of people been using ipads, and they've been taking them up to the board and taking a picture coming back to their desk, sitting down and making it large. And it's that is a solution. And I'm not saying it's a bad solution, because it's worked for years. But wouldn't it be nice to be able to utilize that camera that's on there to do more than that? Wouldn't it be nice to now hook a distance camera to it, just to point to the board and then have the ipad up and be using 2 cameras at one time to be able to look at the document. And the board at the same time. Or be able to look at the board, and on the side of that be able to have one of an ipad native app and be able to be typing exactly what you're seeing. So that software that's going to allow you to do that. If you're using the Itab. Those of you that are familiar with our tablet. It basically looks the same. It comes in a stand and will be showing a picture of that in just a second, but that stand allows you to angle the ipad up. It allows you to have it hovering over the document, and then you can have the distance camera to use it for distance, document, or even self viewing, if you wanted to use it for grooming or just being able to thread a needle, or whatever it is that you're trying to accomplish. So the I tab works with the the 11 pro and the 12.9 pro. Now the 13 I don't know. Maybe 3 months ago, and there's 2 versions of the 13 inch ipad. There's the ipad error, and the ipad pro. The air, even though it's 13 inches, because it goes edge to edge. There's no bezel around it anymore. It really still has a 12.9 body style to it. So it still fits in our 12.9 stand. Because that's the style. The 13 inch pro is thinner. And it is a little bit different size. So I talked to Sweden this morning. We've already started building the stand for it. It finally just passed inspection. Yay. And so now they've ordered all the parts to build that stands for the new 13 pros the thinner ones. So what that'll mean is, if somebody wants to spend the money to upgrade or go out and get a new ipad, we will support the 13 inch, as well. So that'll still be called the Itab 11 a 12.9 and one for the 13. The exciting thing about the new ipads, the 12.9 pros, or any of the ipads that the newer ones that have the Usbc connection on them. You can directly connect to camera. Into it. So that's why we can connect our distance camera. But you could also connect the Mls camera. So that's really exciting. Because if you already had that particular camera, and it's part of. Product line that you had. Why invest in our distance camera again. So we give you the ability just to purchase the stand. The stand, and we have the S camera with that. And of course you would get the full version of the software. And then it's great that they made these for the 12.9, and the 13 pros that you can directly connect into. But it does take a lot of battery power from the ipad, and so we know that whenever we make anything we want it to work for about a 6 h day for a school day. Okay. So what we do when we ship that and you get our stand is we give you it's a 65 Watt charger. And when you get your ipad, usually you get about a 20 watt unless you've upgraded, and so that charger allows you to plug into the hub, we have a hub on our stands for the I tab so they could charge and be using it all day, and there's also a little USB spot spot in case they want to charge. Their phone if they have permission to have their phone in. But that way they can be charging while they're using it. So they're not gonna run out of power at all. So again, they could use the MOS camera, or they could use the distance camera that you can get with the I tab. So the solution for this would be very portable. I would say it has a coolness factor to it because of the fact that. People really like ipad. So but you're gonna be able to do distance, you'd be able to do document self viewing. And then Ocr is built right into that. So it's gonna solve all the needs for anyone needing to be able to have text with large amounts of volume coming to them and their eyes not getting fatigued because that usually is, becomes an issue. That software, by the way, is free, it is up on the app store. If you have an ipad or you have an iphone. So it's magna viewer. If you're wanting to install that it is up on the app store, and that'll works with again an ipad or an iphone? So the free version and the pay for version are really the same version. But if you plug one of our cameras in the Mls, the pro, the zip camera, or the camera that comes with the I tab the distance camera. Itself that opens up. Ocr, that opens up video that opens up picture taking and form filling. So basically, if you don't have one of our cameras plugged in. All the features aren't live and active. As soon as you plug one of our cameras in they become in full view, and they're there for everybody to use. But it is still neat to have the free version. If you just want to check it out on your iphone or ipad, because you could still zoom in zoom out. You can change colors. You can turn line masking and marking on. You can Do full color gray scale. You can do quite a bit with it still, and that'll give you an opportunity just to check the software out again. It's called Magn Viewer, and it's up on the app store. >>Donna: And I've added it. Sorry and interrupted there for a second. I've added the link to the Lvi America, magnify link viewer software into the chat for everyone. >>Kimberly: Okay. Excellent. Thank you. So before we created the Itab came out at atia. So that was January, and then the air go that I talked about that came out in March, but before we created that we couldn't directly connect into ipads. It used to be that ipads didn't allow you to do that and so that was just that was something within, you know, we couldn't control that. That was something that Apple had controlled. And they just never made it to where the ipad could have canvas directly connected in. So we did develop a product called Magi Cam and Magdalink, Wi-fi, and those are still very viable products. In fact, we still sell quite a few of them. This would be if you wanted a wireless connection with your ipad. So again you're now saying I don't want anything on my desk. I just want the ipad on my desk. I want the distance camera sitting over on the teachers desk or off to the side, and I'm wanting to just use my ipad, but be connected to still a very powerful camera. So you can do that as well. That is another product that we have. We have the Wi-fi cam. If you want the camera and the stand that it comes with. But again, if you already have an Mls or pro, or a Zip that has a camera built in it. Don't go out and get something else, because you can automatically connect those in remotely. You would just need to have the the box that'll show in a second. That box has a router in it. And it also has a 6 h battery, because again, we want to get through a 6 h day. So again, very portable solution very portable, and this solution would be a solution that you have possibly nothing on your desk except the ipad. So you just kind of have to think about who you're working with, what's gonna be the best solution. There is no right or wrong. They're using the same software. So they have the ability to Ocr, they have the ability to video. They have the ability to take pictures, fill out forms. Everything that you can do with the software for the I tab, it's the same software for the Wi cam. The main difference is, one is wired, one is wireless. Nothing wrong with either one. They're both great, all great solutions. Actually, there's 4 of them that I tab has the S version that you can plug another camera in, and then the Maglink Wi-fi cam has Wi-fi and the Wi-fi cam the Wi-fi cam has a camera. The Wi-fi is just the box that you then would connect in with the S. Or pro, or zip, that you have already. We now have some pictures on the screen showing off some of the ipad solutions that we talked about. So the 1st one on the left is actually the Itab. And those of you that are familiar with our tablet. It looks exactly the same. The stand is the same. It's made out of high grade airplane, aluminum. And that is why our stands are so sturdy. And we don't want people to drop products. But if they did get dropped. And it's folded up and closed in the stand. It probably will survive that. We don't recommend that, but that's why we make things, though out of high, greater durable but has to be lightweight enough to fly. So that's why we source that material inside the this particular picture. There's a picture of an actual ipad, it's a 12.9, and then you have the camera that's angled off on the left hand side. And that camera. It's on a bendable arm, so you could put it up straight if you had somebody tall in front of you like me. I'm very tall. Or if you wanted to angle it up to the board or turn it around and have it facing you. So there's several different ways that you can angle that camera. So that is a wired solution. And we actually have a picture with an orange tab on the side where you can tell where it is plugged in, it is wired. The middle picture is of a wireless. Solution. Now, this one is this one is wireless meaning. You're not connecting into the ipad you're connecting to the camera, but not the ipad, so the ipad could be sitting just on the desk. And then the box that's on here is what has the Router system, and also has the 6 h battery, and then that's connected into the magn. It's over a picture, and then you can barely see it's in the corner. But the ipad sitting there, and what that camera is over is projected on the ipad. But it's wireless meaning. You're not connected to the ipad. You're just connected to the camera. And then the last solution we're showing there is the magi cam, very similar to this, the middle solution. It is wireless. You're connected into the box that you can see better on the second picture. But the ipad itself is just sitting in our stand. And it could just be taken out of the stand totally, and just had the ipad on the desk, and you could have that Wi-fi camera anywhere in the room as long as you were able to angle it to where you wanted it to face. So again, the second 2 pictures are of the wireless connections or the Wi-fi connections. In these 2 solutions, and the air ones are a little different. But in these 2 solutions, if you wanted to be able to go out to the web, the teacher, with permission we give you a little hub that plugs into the Usbc. That allows you then, to pick that as your second source of being able to go out, and then you could go out to Zoom, or whatever it is that you choose to do. If the teacher doesn't want the student to have. That they don't give them that they hold on to that piece of equipment. And so it's not gonna they're not gonna be able to do that. They're connected to this wirelessly, and that is going to be what they're using their Wi-fi for. So the cool thing about those particular products. Is. Again, if you have an Mls. If you have a pro or you have a zip, you can utilize that as your camera for ipad solution or air solution. So, if you have any of those solutions already. Mls pro, or Zip with a Connection Board. It has to have a Connection board because you got to be able to connect to it. We're not saying, get rid of those products. We're saying, enhance them and use them with these other new products that we have. You can use them in conjunction with. If you're using in conjunction with the air products, you're literally saying, I wanna have a second or 3rd camera. We allow up to 3 camera inputs with the air products. So you could have the camera. The screen split one distance, one be doing document and one looking at something else, or we have something called frame grabber with our air products. And the frame rubber allows you to connect into any video source. So if a teacher is in a classroom and they have a smart board that updates and changes, you could connect right into that whiteboard and have that projected right on the screen of the student. And again, this is would allow every student in the classroom to be able to do that because of the fact, it's multiple students can use it at one time. And that is called the frame grabber. The frame grabber product is part of our solution. You can either use it in conjunction with the uno or duo in the ceiling, or the air distance that I talked about, or you can just use it on its own. You can just purchase the frame grabber connected into a video source, and then the students would be able to connect and be able to utilize that. On their ipad on their PC. So that is another solution for people that are in classrooms that have smart boards. Or if there's videos being played or Powerpoint presentation. You're plugging right into that video source. There's an encoder that allows you to get that back. And then you're just connected with your computer to the Router system wirelessly. And then you just launch our normal software. So if you're using a PC, it would be PC. PC. Viewer. If you're using the ipad, it would be that magnelling viewer. So it's really cool about our software is they're smart, and they know they go out and look and see. Oh, they're running. Oh, they're running air. Oh, they're running. They're not running any of this. They're running a direct connect PCB or Mls. So they they figure out what's going on. And that means that allows them to know what to do. Which is really kind of cool. Then you need to kind of think about the student. Is this a product that's going to be with the student for many years. If it's something that's gonna be with them for many years, you need to think about where they're at now. But are they now going to be able to take that product. I just met a gentleman. The 1st product we're showing here is called the Magnolink S. And it's our smallest camera. It's 4.2 pounds. It does distance documents, self viewing. It does work in the air product or with the air product like I just mentioned, and it also works. With the ipad product that I just mentioned. This particular product. It does work with every platform we have. So PC. Mac, chrome or ipad. And you can just even plug it into a monitor. So by far, it's it's 1 of the most versatile products that we have. And why this type of solution might be good for a student would be. Maybe in their beginning class they use PC, but by the time they're in high school and they're using a map, maybe they're doing graphic arts. Maybe they're doing all kinds of different things. You now have one camera that you're not saying, oh, gosh! They're using a new type of software. And it's windows based, or it's PC, or it's chrome based. Now, I gotta get a whole new product. That's not the case with this product. You have the ability to use it in all platforms. And that is the same for all 3 of these products. The piece the Mls is the 1st one. The middle one is the pro, and I'll talk more about it, and the zip. But the Mls. By far is the smallest of all of them. So again, if you're looking at portability, you're looking at a kiddo wanting to put it in a backpack. There's a case that it comes with, and there's actually 2 parts to the case. Part of the case is bigger in case they want to carry their computer with them all day, and that would allow you to have the camera and computer, or you can just unvel out the center case, which is the case for the S camera. And you could actually put a shoulder strap and carry it, or you could put that in your backpack. So. Versatility. This is this is great. It's a small camera. It used to be called the student because it really was made for students in mind. Years ago it got rebranded as the S. The magnolink s. It does again have a 10 x optical zoom camera. That's our base meaning that we don't have anything lower than that. It starts everything we have starts at 10 x. Why, that's important. And I just kind of want to talk to you about cameras for a minute when you're working with a kiddo. And I mean, it's basically any. Any low vision, eye, condition, but certain ones are more than others. You know, clarity is so important. And when you're looking across the room 30 feet, 60 feet, and if they're like using a camera, and they're like trying to see. Hey? If my eyes gotten worse? Or is this image bad? What's going on here? You never want that. So you really need to get something that at least has 10 x optical zoom. Whether it's our products or anyone's. Just make sure you're getting something. That has 10 x optical zoom. Anything out over 10 x once they get to 12 or 14. It's going to be a mixture and have some digital zoom in it. But think of your camera on your phone, your camera on your phone is digital. It's all digital. So if you take that and go across the room, go to Mcdonald's to look at a menu, and you're blowing it up. It's getting fuzzy and fuzzy and fuzzier because it's digital. If there's no optical zoom in it. So you want something. If you're doing a lot of distance, you need to make sure whatever solution you're using, whether, even if it's a handheld. And they're using a handheld for distance. You wanna make sure that it's got some, you know, a little bit of optical zoom, or at least it's a full HD camera. You know, 1080 P camera. So you want to be really careful with that. The other thing. If you have a student that needs to be doing distance, document and keep going back and forth. You don't want it to be like 1, 1,002, 1,003, 1,000. Okay, I think the image is coming. Oh. 5 seconds. It's here you want instant you want it to be able to go down to their paper. Boom they have it. It's perfectly clear. Go out to the board, and it's clear. Yes, that has to do with the camera, but that has to do with the refresh rate on the camera. So you wanna get a refresh rate that's really fast on a camera in order to get that? If so, if you're having issues with a camera that's not doing that. And it's brand new camera. It's probably a camera that doesn't have a fast refresh rate. And so you're probably gonna have some frustration. There. So that's something you really want to think about. When you're purchasing any technology. The middle camera that we're showing here is called the pro, and it looks. Similar to the S. It's much bulkier and beefier, I call it. The Mls. On steroids. It sits up higher. It is a 30 x optical zoom camera. So of course there's big difference between Tenx and and 30. The reason that it's 30 x is that it's up higher and it has a bigger viewing area. So if you have kiddos that are in a biology class. And they're looking at big objects. Maybe they're doing dissecting, and they're doing learning all kinds of things, and they have to get down to really small to see things, but then they also have to get big. Or you have a student that's gonna become an architect or a lawyer, and they're looking at bigger documents. This is a nice solution for that, because. It sits up higher. You're gonna get a bigger viewing area. It's 30 x optical zoom. So you can get really tiny all the way up to big it also because it sits up higher, it also will go up even higher, like the S does. It'll notch up one more Area up. So if you're in a situation where you have someone quite tall in front of you, you can go above that and be able to see it. So the software for this is just like the software for the Mls. And again, this would work for the air product as a second camera. And also you could use this with the ipad that we talked about earlier. It's just not as portable. It's got a base, a plate base on the bottom of it, and you can hook an Xy table to that if you choose to have that. That's something that can be added. And if you wanted it to be an oversized 1 3rd picture over is the Zip with an oversized Xy table. You can do that, or you can just use the removable Xy table with it as well. So those are some options. These are products that can either stand alone and work on their own with PC. Mac, Chrome, or Ipad, or you can use them in conjunction with the air product as the second or 3rd camera input as well. So they're all great products and their own right as standalone. And they are also nice because you can couple them and family them in with our other products, which is really really nice. So the 3rd one over is the zip. There's several products like this on the market. It's a full portable. CCTV. This one's a 17 inch. We have them in 17 and 13. You can keep it super simple. Put a document underneath it and make it larger and smaller and change the color. There's little rocker switches. So on the left hand side is the button you push in to turn it on and off, and that changes between amber and other colors, depending on what you're in the middle of. And it's green. It's on the middle buttons where you're gonna make it larger and smaller. And then there's 2 rocker switches in between the large and the smaller orange button, and those rocker switches. Change you from full color to gray scale. And then the one on the right goes to your high contrast. Colors. The cool thing about it is, once you find the color. Usually somebody wants full color, but then, for their high contrast, they might want white on black, etc. Now, once you pause for a minute, now you can rock her back and forth, and you've got it's like you've set those for that particular student. They don't have to continue to go through all the color combinations to find them. It kind of locks those into place. The cool thing about the camera on this. When you do distance. Again. You might want it to be looking at a board on Black 10 x. But then, when you come down to a document that has color or images on it. You might want full color. It remembers the settings on the camera. The camera has memory. So every time you angle it out it's going to go to that size and that color. Every time you come back down. It's gonna be whatever size and color that you have chosen for that. So that is nice. This has, where it's pictured here. It has an integrated table which is oversized. So if you have kiddos that are looking at bigger books and things like that, this is an oversized table, and it's integrated meaning you're not taking it on and off. They? There are friction breaks. You can see them in the front and on the side. It's an orange tab that slides. And that allows you to either have be super loosey or a little bit tighter. As you're moving it. You can do it in increments. And then we have a removable Xy table that just slides on. The Zip has something I call the Frankenstein. It's kind of like 2 bullet or 2. Mail sticking out from its neck. And that's where you slide the Xy table, and it locks onto that those little things that stick out, and then you can remove it the same way. So we have removable and integrated. The removable one is not as large. It's a smaller XY table. And the integrated is larger. So this is, talks a little bit more about the Zips, and it talks about that. They're all 10 adp. All of our cameras are 1080 p. We used to have some that were 7 20. We don't have those at all. We don't make those or carry them at all in the Us. We only carry 1080 p. Cameras. So they're 1919 20 by 1,000 adp camera refresh rate and 10 x optical zoom. The 13 inch goes 1.1 to 35. The 17 goes 1.4 to 45. So it goes a little larger. And then you can either get them with or without batteries. With or without connection boards. If you want to get the Removable Connection Board, it can be added at any time, because that's when you're just sliding up with a little Franken things that stick out. But if you want integrated, we say you have to order it. At the time that I'll be honest. You can have the integrated ones as well. It's just a screw on each side. And those can be added as well. What you do need to decide on it is if you want a Connection Board, if you don't get it with a Connection Board, then you're not going to be able to connect it in with a PC. Mac Chrome or Ipad to be able to do all the fancy Ocr. And video taking and pictures and filling out forms and all the other software things. You'd just be able to use it for viewing. And again, with or without Ocr, but if you're getting it with Ocr, you have to get it with a Connection Board. Battery can be added later. Where the neck is in the back of the unit that's angled. That pops right off in the inside part, and the battery flips right in there and so that can be added at any time. The battery life on a 13 inch is gonna be anywhere between. Probably 4 and a half, 5 h, and the 17 is gonna be a little less, probably closer to 4 h, because it draws more power. Of course you can plug it in and be using it while you're charging it, and if it's fully dead, either of the batteries they fully charge in about 2 and a half hours. The Magna S. Better known as the Mls. Is pictured on the screen. The upper left hand corner just shows it how we showed it before. It's got a very long neck. And 2 legs like it's doing the splits. And that's what holds it up. And there's controls on the front of it. The controls on the front of it are, because if you plug it into a monitor, you've got to have a way to be able to make it larger and smaller, and change the color, and do all those fancy things. So that is what those controls are for. But if you're using it with software on a PC Mac or chromebook or Ipad, you're utilizing the software if you choose to, or you can still use the controls there as well. But all that is available in the software. We have several different docking stations. So I always say that this particular piece of equipment has toys or accessories. So that's another thing to ask whether you're buying anyone's product. Ask if it has accessories. Ask, can you add things to it later? How I mentioned you know, you could add a battery. You could add text to speech. So with this particular product, you can get it without text to speech and add text to speech later. But you can also add all of these other dimensions to it, so you could clamp it to a desk. You could put it an XY table. You could put it on a plate. A docking station. So the one to the right is the plate docking station. So that's more of a standard. CCTV. With just a plate at the bottom, and we're just taking the Blakes that are doing the splits. You fold them in, and you dock it right into that docking station, and then, when you don't want it in there, it just lifts right out. You can take it with you. So a lot of times students will keep the docking stations in a stem classroom. Room, or they'll just be left in the classroom, and they're just taking the S. And moving it from room to room. So that is something to check whoever's product you purchase, or whatever you purchase. You know, hey? As if my, maybe a kiddo starts with this product in elementary, and they don't want any of these things. But now, as they get older, you want to know what the capabilities of that product are, because that's really important. For for people in the future. And is it gonna be able to work with PC. Mac for all an ipad? Can it work across the board, or can it just work in Ser? Certain things. We don't. We don't work with Android. So that is something we don't do. I know human ware has for a while worked in Android and done a great job with it, and that's just a platform we haven't chosen to work in, but we work across the board and all the other platforms. Below the one with the plate, you'll see like it looks just like the little dial that's on the front of the unit. We didn't take a bigger picture of it. That's an oversized hand control. And you get that when you get any of the docking stations, because you're covering up the mechanism because the legs are folded and it's down in the docking station. So you get that hand control. But we have had some schools purchase just the hand control because their kiddos it's they don't have the fine motor skills to be able to hit those other buttons. So they want a a bigger hand control. So that is an option as well. And then right below that we do have a very small portable reading table that that you can get with it. It's kind of like the size of a sheet of paper. It moves back and forth left to right, and it's it is very small and lightweight, and it allows you to Be able to move around if you're needing to add that it would fit right. In the case of the document, all of our portable products have cases. We actually ship with cases. That's how they come. And they're they're awesome. They're hard on the edges, and they they protect the products. So this is more information about the pro. It just sits up higher. As I mentioned, it's a 30 optical zoom camera. You can get it with The Xy table, as I mentioned as well. So it does have some accessories. But it's just not gonna fold down near as small as the Us. And weighs much more than the Us. Because it's a bigger camera. This may not be for your audience. I wanted you guys to know that we do have several types of keyboards. We don't make the Tippy keyboard. We're the Us. Representative for it. It's made in Germany and we just started this year, and you know we have ran into some people that are low vision, and have limited use of their hands as well. But this is a 1 handed keyboard, and it does tip over to where the bottom part. We put your hand where you would actually. Rest your hand there, and be able to run the mouse, and all of that that comes out, and it. Pops in the other way. So the whole keyboard flips over. That's why it's called the Tippy. And you can use it for left or right hand. So that is something that we do carry in the Us. >>Donna Clemens: Kimberly. I'm so glad you showed the Tippy. I have been. Wanting to get my hands on one of those for a while. Yeah, it's a great keyboard. We've been very thrilled. That we're able to have it here in the Us. And everyone that's had it is just loved it so. It has a tutorial that it comes with, and like, I said. It's it's a great keyboard. And it is something that we house here in the Us. Keyboards that are made for our products. But we don't make these either. Logic. Keyboard makes all of these. They've been making keyboards for years, and they have all kinds of specialized keyboards. If you need any comp. Any connections or contacts for them, I'd be glad to provide that they're great keyboard company ones that make the Zoom text ones, and all the large print keyboards they've been doing for years. So we have 3 styles that they private label for us. We have a black. A key on bright yellow. And white with black, and that's for PC. And then on the ipad side or the Mac side we cut. We just started carrying. It's the bright white letters on the black. So that's new for us. We don't bundle it like we do with our tab product. Yet I don't know if that's something we'll do in the future, but we do sell those particular keyboards just independently. The ones that I mentioned for the PC. If you get our tab product, we do bundle it with the white on black. If you purchase the surface pro at the time of purchase through us. Another thing we carry is adjustable tables. We were selling these mainly in Europe. And actually someone came to us and wanted to buy them in the Us. I didn't even know we had them. They're called F 20 tables. They're designed perfectly for somebody that needs to roll in. If they have a wheelchair they hold our heaviest our desktop, which is a 29 pounds, but it will hold up to 75. Accounts on this table. It has a roller wheels, and it is an adjustable table to go up and down, and there is a little table that comes off the side. So if they're wanting to put their paper there, or store their phone or their pens off to the side, they can do that as well. So that is something that we do cover in our carry in the Us. Now as well in their called the F 20 adjustable tables. When you get the products again, you get them with a case, and that's something you should check when you get any product is, you know? Do I get a case or. Do I need to purchase a case, and we give you cases with all of our portable products. But we've had some people want trolleys. So we did source the trolleys with the same manufacturer that makes our cases. In fact, it looks just like a 17 inch case, but it has a the handle that comes left on a suitcase, and you can roll it. And it will hold the 13 inch, the 17. Our product called the one which I have not talked about today. And the pro. It will really hold any of our products except the desktop unit. But it's made to fit all of those specifically the pro, the one that and both of the sip products. We give you the inserts to make it fit up tight for all of those products. It's great for storage great, for on the go activities. And It's something that you know, we've added. And people really like. >>Donna: And Kimberly. Belinda says that the table is so good. And I did comment to everyone that the cases are really awesome. I prefer y'all's cases to any of the other cases that we've had come in. >>Kimberly: Thank you so much. Yeah, they're very hard on the edges. I was. Talking with the reseller not that long ago, and we had all of our products stacked. He had a big dolly, and we're just talking away, walking through a really bumpy parking lot, and we look back and go slight problem. All the products fell off way back there in the parking lot somewhere. We're just pulling an empty cart, and he's like, I'm so sorry. And I said. Well, the cases, I'm sure, protect them, and everything was fine when we got there. But it was just it was. It was. It's just such a comedy scene, because we were just like not even paying for whatever speed bumps were like. Just all this stuff. We knocked everything off. So they're great cases. They are great cases. So we do. Monthly webinars. We took a little bit of time off over the summer, but we do monthly webinars, and most of the time we offer acbrs. Not always, but we try to. We have a couple coming up September and October, and those are with acbrs. They're usually on Tuesdays, but we've tried to switch it up here and there. Because we've had some requests. So the 1st one out of the next one we have is September 17.th It's 1 o'clock Eastern time, so be 12 o'clock. Your guys time. It's back to school with lb, America. And it'll be myself and Christopher, and we'll be showing some. Back to school type of settings, and what some combinations could be so kind of showing you live some of the things we talked about today. And then in October we have another one called. Find your voice and catch the vision, and we'll be focusing on our vision and voice. Products and those type of technologies, and why someone would use those. What's the benefit of that type of technology over some of the other technologies out there. And then we also have a series called Living with Low Vision, and we try to about 4 times a year. I find amazing people that have low vision, and they're doing incredible things. Whether they use our products or not. That is not a requirement. We had a gentleman on there that he was part of the Paralympics that's coming out. He's a long jumper, and he wasn't really utilizing any of our products. He's used the voice for a little bit. But we're not. It's not a. It's not a feature. We're talking about products. We're talking about their life, you know. How did you get to be doing what you're doing? If other people want to do that, you know, can they reach out to you. What? What types of things, what type of village did you put around yourself to be able to do such great things? So that one is in November we have a really interesting lady. Lindsey Kerr is her name. And if you go to our website we have more information about all of these webinars, and you can register. And it's just www.lb, America com forward slash webinar, we do tape most of our webinars and they are up on our website. But if you're wanting acbrs. That doesn't work for the tape version. You have to be live. You have to have an entrance and an exit code, and then you have to respond to a certain website by a certain amount of time in order to get those. I'm Kimberly Klein. I mean, I'm here to answer questions. I travel in Texas quite often. In fact, right before this I was on the phone with Bobby. Looking at coming out of October for some training event. He wants me to come and do I travel with Mark's. I travel with the team, Chip and Jack and I'm down in San Antonio, but we do come to Austin all the time. So if you guys have a time that you'd like me to come out and show anything, live or just answer questions, or do anything you can feel free to reach out to me. My phone number is 7, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 6, 1 1. That is my cell, and you can call or text me if I don't get back to you within the day. I either didn't get it, or I'm on a very long airplane flight, because I usually respond same day to everyone. And you can also email me at Kimberly. KIMB ERLY dot klein, INE at LBI com. And then we have something called feedback. And so every year we take every single product and every software to every product. And we review it. And if somebody writes in and 20 people say, Hey, it would be great if you're the software would do this. Pretty much. It's probably gonna come in. It's probably gonna be one of the new features. You know. We're not Microsoft. We don't have to have 2,000 people request something. And so we really do pay very close attention so often when I'm traveling and people give me a great recommendation. My joke is always. Do you have 19 friends? If you do have them right in and say the same thing, so we can get this added. So that is feedback FED, back bick@lamerica.com. And then when you watch the webinars, if you are applying for Acbrs, we have a separate webinar for that. Excuse me email address. It's A/CVRE. p@lbiamerica.com, and looks like there's a mistake in there. I need to take that scr out. That's part of the next one, so I'll fix that. And then if you have questions about products, servicing, we do have a service center in the Us. And in Canada, the one in the Us. Though, is Service vice@lbiamerica.com in lou or rich is his name. We have an 800 number for that as well on our website. So he can assist people live.
