VI/O&M have put it in the grid page to co-implement (the ECI isn't as upset about that, since we're not billable) but, it's much harder when it comes to OT/PT co-implemented with VI 15:38:39 From Dorothy Vetrano To All Panelists : Yes 15:38:39 From michelle coleman To All Panelists : In Indiana the TBVI will do a functional assessment, regardless of dx from eye dr. I have children getting vision services without an actual dx. 15:39:00 From Dorothy Vetrano To All Panelists : And the reason I’m asking is we have not yet been given the OK yet to go into the homes. 15:39:50 From Elizabeth White : VI and PT working together really helps with giving a purpose for positioning and then giving an activity visually to work with the baby while positioned 15:40:09 From TSBVI Outreach Media : Please use the blue dropdown above the chat entry box and select “Panelists and Attendees” to ensure everyone in the chat can see your comments. 15:40:18 From Marcy Meachum : What will this EI service instrument be called? 15:40:36 From Danika Dunlap : she said it is a combination of Michigan severity and which other one? 15:41:15 From Kate Borg : Early Intervention Intensity Scale 15:41:57 From Tracey Stanislawski : We use the coaching model by Sheldon and Rush in Wisconsin. http://www.eiexcellence.org/evidence-based-practices/coaching-interaction-style/ 15:43:02 From Marcy Meachum : Thank you Karen. 15:43:09 From Marcy Meachum : Kate! 15:43:46 From michelle coleman To All Panelists : we use family gudid routines based intervention FBRBI.com for mobile coaching 15:44:12 From Kaycee Bennett To michelle coleman and All Panelists : Make sure your chat is set to "all panelists and attendees" so everyone can see what you're typing 15:45:48 From Pamela : We saw a 2-year-old today with Periventricular Leukomalacia and cerebral palsy who appears to have CVI. Mom told me the ophthalmologist said "his eyes are fine" and he doesn't "believe" in vision therapy. I think I can get the necessary forms completed by Neurology, but any advice on talking to parents in these cases? -- I would explain that the eye doctor examines the child's eyes and the structures. "his eyes are fine" is great to hear and that I also want to look at how he uses his vision. I would ask to do the CVI range if he has CVI characteristics and to see he how he is using his vision. 15:47:28 From michelle coleman : In Indiana the TBVI will do a functional assessment, regardless of dx from eye dr.
