>> Kate Hurst: I'm going to turn this over to our presenters today and they've got a lot to share so get your pencils out and get ready to rock and roll. Sue and Randall, I'm going to turn it over to you. >> Sue Enoch: Well, Randall is the one who, here at TSBVI, is the receiver of the materials request orders to make sure that they are correct so Randall has agreed that he would like to walk you all through the process, step by step. It really is very, very easy, perhaps to me one of the nicest things is that if you have internet access you can access an order, you no longer have to be on a particular computer or particular system. Yeah, you can sit -- the great example is you can sit in the parking lot with your iPhone and order APH materials if that's what you needed to do. So it will make it more accessible in a wider geographic scope. So Randall. >> Randall McAlister: Hello, my name is Randall McAlister, I'm sure I've communicated with lots of you all through e-mails. I'm the guy the receives the orders at txaph@tsbvi.edu, and we're very excited about this new system. It's gonna make things a lot easier for everybody, I think. And I think the best place to start, as we look at this, is right the TSBVI home page. I'll just pretend that someone is brand new at this; this is our home page simply go to the outreach section that I'm sure many of you have seen before and down here in materials for APH printing house, we'll just click on that. And as you can see this is going to be turned on, on September 12 and all the instructions are actually here in text form and this link right here on the 12th is where you're going to go to create an order. Now I've gotten started... like I said this is not going to... the switch isn't flipped on this until the 12th so I'm actually going to go through a training module but it's the exact same thing. When you do click on that link this is what you're going to see and it's going to ask for user name and a password and I've already got a lot of phone calls and e-mails about what's my user name, what's user name. It's going to be very simple; if you've ordered from going back to 2008 you are already in the system. For the new teachers the new, new VI teachers that have never ordered from us, what you're going to need to do is send me an e-mail at that address txaph at tsbvi dot edu I will create the user ID for you. However if you're an existing teacher that's ordered, it's going to be the first five letters of your last name, the first initial of your first name and two zeros. It's that simple, that's already set up for you if you've order from us. Except... with one exception there's 9 people in the state is that right 9? >> Sue: Yes. >> Randall: 9? >> Sue: 9. >> Randall: That have identical names, five letters and the first initial. Now Sue is going to e-mail these people, correct? >> Sue: Correct. >> Randall: And if you do have a twin somewhere in the state it will probably be a 01 instead of a 00, it's that simple. But Sue is going to between now and then get in contact with those people. However, this example my name is in there, McAli with an R and two zeros. And I've already changed my password so that's the other point that's very important, your password is going to be that same first five letters and the first initial but no zeros, that's your sign on password. When you sign on you're going to be prompted to change it and I would highly advise that. You can change it right there. So our next step is we log in, and this is the menu you're going to see. You can see that I'm signed in here up at the top right but however before I create a request, materials request, I need to find myself in the list of all the teachers in the state and this system is pretty smart. I can just type in the first few letters and it's going to take me to where I need to go so I'm going to look for myself by last name... and there's two McAlisters there. So I'm going to choose myself click on that, and there's my information. Now you've got several options here, if you don't feel like ordering them if you just want to browse the APH catalogue you can do that with this browse feature. Now it doesn't have all the pretty pictures yet, that's coming, what you're going to see is item numbers, product names and descriptions and later on it is going to look a lot prettier when our software people get that done.
